Accountant & Administration, part time 80%

    As part of the business support team in Learnlife you will work closely to support our finance, people and operations leads who manage all administrative, human resource, legal and financial matters and ensure the smooth functioning of the organization. 

    We are located in Enrique Granados 7. The work is hybrid, allowing you to work some days remotely from your home in the Barcelona area.

    This is a part-time permanent position where you should work 6 hours a day from Monday to Friday.

    In your role, you will:

    • Ensure suppliers’ invoices are valid, registered, allocated accurately and ready for payment in our accounting system in a timely manner.
    • Participate in monthly closings, including cost reviews, invoice requests, and accruals.
    • Complete bank reconciliations and bank fees reviews.
    • Update and follow up on customer debts, analysis and cash collection.
    • Support improvements in purchase processes to allow our learning guide teams to stay focused on our learners' experiences. 
    • Manage and control the expense sheets, as well as account for payroll.
    • Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to foster collaborative working.
    • Support other financial, operational, people and business needs as arise in the business support team of a fast moving start-up organization such as Learnlife, like managing the staff’s hardware and insurance.

    We are looking for:

    • 2-5 years experience in hands-on experience in an accounting or administration team in an agency or company.
    • You bring knowledge of Spanish accounting and fiscal legislation and obligations.
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel and accounting software, ideally Holded are a must.
    • You are excellent in handling confidential information adequately.
    • Your Spanish is native and your English is fluent.
    • It is essential that you have a work permit for Spain and that you are already residing in the Barcelona region.
    • You enjoy being detail oriented, and are eloquent in your treatment.
    • We are looking for somebody with an autonomous, proactive nature and able to work in a start-up environment.
    • You bring excellent organization skills and the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
    • An ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
    • An empathetic individual who can work alongside others in a compassionate and non-judgemental manner, and is highly passionate about our purpose and the social impact we create.
