    Role Overview

    In this role you are directly collaborating with the Chief Operating Officer of Learnlife. You will be his right and left hand during this challenge to innovate education systems around the world. As such you will collaborate closely with him on all strategic, operational and financial matters to ensure the smooth functioning of the business.

    Your role will involve:

    • Together with the COO, lead general business, operational and financial matters in order to allow the smooth functioning of Learnlife and its growth.
    • Prepare the monthly management reporting (financial and non-financial data), annual budgets and the formulation of strategic and mid-term growth plans, including liaising and working with external accountants.
    • Analyse the organisation’s performance together with the leadership team and make proposals for actions based on that analysis to drive key operational and strategic decisions. 
    • Initiate, implement, review and guide budgeting, financial management and objective setting processes according to the organisation’s needs.
    • Support and act as sparring partner for the leadership team cross functionally on change initiatives, strategic projects and achieving objectives.
    • Create team, investor and board updates, pitch decks, and support the leadership team in meeting preparation.
    • Suggest changes to processes and policies and ensure action points coming out of strategic and leadership (e.g. board, business units) meetings are recorded and carried out.


    • Quality, accuracy and timeliness of strategic decision support for the business activities.
    • Precision of insights and commentary on the organisation’s results and performance.

    You will bring:

    • 5+ years of business experience in a financial or operational role or within a venture capital or M&A environment. 
    • Experience of financial planning, analysis, or controlling.
    • Exposure to start-ups or entrepreneurial high-growth environments is a must.
    • Your English and Spanish are both fluent.
    • Highly passionate about our purpose and the social impact we create.
    • You enjoy being detail oriented and strive for high quality outcomes.
    • Ability to build relationships with different stakeholders across the organisation. Equally enjoy leading teams, being part of teams or working independently.
    • Excellent organisational skills and ability to handle and prioritise multiple projects, tasks and deadlines. 
    • Flexibility to handle shifting priorities and be highly intuitive.
    • Willingness to contribute to the broader vision of Learnlife and collaborate where needed with a hands-on and flexible attitude.
    • Able to present a clear business case for proposals.
    • Strong and analytical executor: you have the talent for simplifying complex ideas and making them happen.
    • You are insatiably curious, are self-motivated and have a growth mindset
