Learnlife is growing and we are looking for a junior team member to join our business support team in our challenge to innovate education systems around the world. As part of the business support team in Learnlife you will work closely to support our finance, people and operations leads who manage all administrative, human resource, legal and financial matters and ensure the smooth functioning of the organisation. The location is Enrique Granados 7 and you can also work in a hybrid way remotely from your home in Barcelona.
In your role, you will have broad exposure to different areas in a growing organisation, particularly in accounting, purchasing, human resources and process implementation. You will work with our specialists in the different functional areas to:
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to foster collaborative working.
- Ensure suppliers’ invoices are valid, registered, allocated accurately and ready for payment in our accounting system in a timely manner.
- Participate in monthly closings, including cost reviews, invoice requests, and accruals.
- Complete bank reconciliations and bank fees reviews.
- Update and follow up on customer debts, analysis and cash collection.
- Support improvements in purchase processes to allow our learning guide teams to stay focused on our learners' experiences.
- Support the people team regarding the organisation’s ongoing obligations with regards to employees and interns, together with hardware and insurance management
- Support other financial, operational, people and business needs as arise in the business support team of a fast moving start-up organisation such as Learnlife.
We are looking for:
- 0-2 years experience in hands-on experience in an accounting or administration team.
- experience of Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level and of using accounting software and/or an ERP.
- Able to handle confidential information adequately.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish (ideally C2 level)
- You enjoy being detail oriented, and are exquisite and eloquent in your treatment.
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- An ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a fast-paced, agile environment, and flexibility to handle shifting priorities.
- Willingness to learn from failure, ask for help when you need it, and embrace an iterative process.
- An empathetic individual who can work alongside others in a compassionate and non-judgemental manner, and is highly passionate about our purpose and the social impact we create.
- Willingness to contribute to the broader vision of Learnlife and collaborate where needed with a hands-on attitude.
