Learnlife Village Hub

A brand new learning community in Sant Pere de Ribes/Sitges area

Learnlife's third Learn Hub, the Village Hub, opened in the Sant Pere de Ribes/Sitges area in September 2024.

At the Hub, you'll find a learning community that helps children develop a real love for learning and acquire the skills they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.

Unlike other schools, our approach encourages curiosity, creativity, and choice. Your child will form positive relationships and explore their interests with the support of dedicated Learning Guides.

Just imagine your child looking forward to school and discovering a strong sense of purpose. Learnlife focuses on overall growth, nurturing confident, flexible learners who are ready for anything.

Everything you need to know about the Village Hub

The Hub will open to children aged 10 to 14.

It will expand to include learners up to 16 years old in September 2025. In the future, it will provide learning for children aged 6 to 18.

The Village Hub is located in Valentí Village in the Sant Pere de Ribes/Sitges area.

The full address is Rambla del Garraf, 48, local 1G, 08812 Les Roquetes.

Your child can join two full-time programmes: Pioneers (ages 10 to 12) and Explorers (ages 12 to 14).

These programmes provide an engaging learning experience based on our best practice approach, which empowers over 250 learners in our hubs each year.

    Pioneers (Ages 10 to 12)

The Pioneers programme ignites a love of learning in your child.

By growing skills in five key competency areas, your child will develop critical thinking, creativity, and wellbeing alongside core skills like literacy, maths, and science.

They will grow into a confident, self-directed, lifelong learner ready to embrace new challenges.

    Explorers (Ages 12 to 14)

The Explorers programme sparks your child's curiosity and guides them on a journey of self-discovery and understanding of the world around them.

As they embark on this learning adventure, they gain new skills, explore new concepts, and unleash their creativity.

Through self-directed learning, your child will be eager to expand their knowledge and explore new possibilities.

In September 2025, our Creators programme (ages 14 to 16) will also be available.

A maximum of 20 learners will start in September 2024.

The number of learners will grow during the year. The Hub can accommodate up to 120 learners.

The Village Hub will be a 740m2 open-plan area with easy access to a large park and sports facilities.

Initial designs include a science lab, makerspace studio, performing and visual arts spaces, and a 740m2 roof terrace.

The space takes inspiration from our current Hubs, providing a flexible learning environment that helps children become autonomous, lifelong learners.

For the initial 20 learners starting in September, our goal is 10 in Pioneers (ages 10 to 12) and 10 in Explorers (ages 12 to 14).

As the number of learners grows, we will aim to keep learners in each group evenly split, but this may not be possible.

The ratio of learning guides to learners will be 1:15. The ratio of staff to learners will always remain 1:10.

Learners will start on 2 September 2024. The school year is split into three cycles:

    • Cycle 1 - 2 September to 18 December 2024
    • Cycle 2 - 8 January to 11 April 2025
    • Cycle 3 - 22 April to 20 June 2025

Monday to Thursday, 9.00am to 4.00pm. Friday 9.00am to 1.00pm.

Building a community is critical for any new school. This is particularly important at Learnlife, where positive relationships are essential to our approach.

During Cycle 1, your child will experience an immersive onboarding experience while the Hub is being completed.

They will participate in community-building activities, learn about Learnlife's approach and experience project-based learning at our Eco and Urban Hubs and during local excursions.

Learnlife will cover all travel costs, and you will drop off and collect your child near the Village Hub location.

Once the space is complete, Village Hub will be your child’s home base.

The Village Hub will not be accredited when it opens in September 2024.

We plan for the Hub to be accredited and are currently exploring this with the Department for Education to ensure that the space and programme meet the requirements.

The main language of instruction is English. Starting in September, Spanish will also be available.

Our goal is to provide a learning guide for Catalan as soon as possible after the Hub opens. Explorers can access Catalan at Urban Hub if they and their family are interested.

We recommend children have a minimum B2 English level.

If your child doesn’t meet this requirement, they may still be able to enrol if they commit to working with a private tutor to improve their English before joining.

During onboarding in Cycle 1, we will provide transportation for students to Learnlife’s Eco and Urban Hubs, as well as for local excursions.

Learnlife will pay for all travel costs, and parents will need to drop off and pick up their child near the Village Hub.

At the moment, there are no plans to offer transportation once onboarding is finished. However, this could change depending on demand. If this happens, families would need to pay for the transportation.

The first step is to schedule a call with our intake lead, Catherine.

During the call, Catherine will share more about Learnlife and the Hub and find out more about your family.

If Learnlife is a good choice for your child, you can then fill out the application and enrol.

If you have further questions that are not answered in the FAQs, please email us at community@learnlife.com

We will respond to you as soon as we can - usually the same day on weekdays.
