Teaching Assistant - Secondary School; start 2024-25

Learnlife is currently seeking a Learning Guide Assistant to join our Secondary Years Program in Barcelona. The position is available immediately.

Role Overview

This is not your conventional educational institution. We eschew traditional classroom structures, opting instead for multi-age program groups and a curriculum-free approach.

As part of our dynamic learning team, you will collaborate on designing learning experiences, oversee self-directed learners, and provide push-in and pull-out support to learners during learning experiences. 

Key Responsibilities

• Assist learning guides in ensuring a seamless daily learning experience for learners.
• Collaborate with the learning team to facilitate learning experiences across all program groups, ages 12-18.
• Foster a nurturing and empowering learning culture, promoting self-confidence, agency, and self-management skills among learners to foster self-directed learning.
• Supervise and facilitate play opportunities for learners during free periods, snack breaks, and lunchtime.
• Participate in regular planning, collaboration, and professional development sessions with the learning team, contributing to the iterative design process.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders within the Learnlife community, including operations, finance, and admissions.
• Serve as a role model for our community and company values.
  
  Requirements
  
  Minimum of 2 years of experience working with students aged 12-18.
  Proficiency in English at a C2 level is essential; Spanish proficiency is highly beneficial.
  Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and build trust with adolescents.
  Strong collaborative and creative skills, adaptable to a fast-paced, agile environment.
